Great Story

So there I was. Sunday night, our apartment is the happneing place around here so I decided I would make brownies. I preheat the oven and mix the brownies (just box brownies), and keep smelling this awful, I mean AWFUL smell. . . People in the living room start saying, "what is that smell?" "I thought you said you were making brownies; not fetta and swiss cheese crisps. . . I look at the oven and there is smoke coming out of the vent on the top. I open the oven to find . . . my missing flip flops burnt and smoking. Fortunately they were on the top rack. Camron pulled them out and at first they were super flimsy but one minute later they were as hard as rocks . . . needless to say I threw them away.

The next day I had this conversation with Ali.
Lonna: "Where's mommy's black flip-flops?"
Ali: "I hide them!"
Lonna:"Where did you hide them?"
Ali: "In the oven; and I lock it"
Lonna: "Mommy cooked them cuz she didn't know that they were in there!"
Ali: "You don't eat shoes mom!"
Lonna: "OK I won't eat them, if you promise not to hide things in the oven any more!:)

Found some Pics

We will miss Hannah

Ali and Hannah did everything together this summer and will surely miss eachother!! Hannah left 2 days ago and Ali is already having to reajust! She mentions her at least 20 times a day! It will be a summer they may never remember, but had a lot of fun! They really were inseparable.
They even ATTEMPTED to take naps together. Mostly they enjoied getting their stuffed animals and babies in trouble:) they would put them in the corner for time out or tell them to take a nap, or tell them they were naughty for peeing in their panies. . . I wonder where they get it!!?? Here are a few pictures just to remember the times!

Stories

Sorry I have no pictures. My camera is messed up! But I have a few stories to tell. When Trace and Tara Lee came to visit we decided to go down to the pool and go swimming. Cooper was tired so I didn't get in my suit. I was taking some pics for Trace and Tara and then decided to show them to Tara from the camera when all of the sudden I hear a gulping "mom...ee"sound and realize that Ali is struggling. Tara swam over to her and pulled her up. Ali was doing a pretty good job at staying afloat but I don't know how long she was struggling! I felt so bad, and I was so scared! I was like 10 feet from her and didn't even know she was struggling!! We are so fortunate that we didn't have more of a scare. I'm so greatful for that little girl! I love her so much! She truely is my best friend! She tries so hard to be just like her mom and I hope that I can set a good example for her! Its crazy that you don't find out how much your parents love you until you have kids of your own!!

Which brings me to my more upbeat story. Ali and I went for a walk to the club house at our apartments; I grabbed the stroller for Cooper and from that moment she copied my every move. She got her stroller and her "baby cooper" also and Anything I said she just repeated me. I parked the stroller to get a water out of the clubhouse fridge and she parked next to me and then opened the fridge and got a sprite. I just`let her do her thing and enjoied watching her mimic me. Then we started to head back, I stopped by the pool and peeked in the window to see if the theatre room door was open, and then I said "ok lets go Ali" she replied "hode on, jus one second mom" and walked over to the window and looked in and then said "lets go now." She's quite the boss. My mom will be surprised how much shes grown in these last 4 months we've been gone! I get back Sat. and can't wait!

Girls Night Out! !
On one of Grammy's last nights here we dicided to go out to Olive Garden with all of the married girls here. We had a blast. I've never really done a girls night out before, other than Bunco but I've decided that it is something that is necessary in life. I haven't laughed like that in a long time. Maybe it's cuz I have two kids now so I need a break. Our waitress was hilarious. It was late and she was ready to go home. We were all pretty giddy too. I'm holding Andes mints . . . she gave us like 50!

Clearwater Beach

We went to the beach when grammy came. She didn't want to come all the way to Florida and not go to the beach, so we took her one of the best beaches in the US! Clearwater Beach. It really is beautiful. Grammy got Ali a bucket and shovel and she wanted to make a castle and since Cooper was sleeping I decided to help her.

She called it a princess castle; but it wasn't a wall around it. . . it was a choo-choo train. I guess lots of princesses ride the train? Or maybe she just likes trains and she thinks she's a princess.

This is what happened when I told her it was time to go! But then she saw the Pirate . . .

Ali knows no stranger; she shook his hand and then followed him when he walked off. I was cleaning up our area getting ready to leave and we noticed Ali had wandered off . . . She was right behind the pirate, so I grabbed the camera and got a few pictures. She hugged him . . . Eeww! I'm not sure why she liked him so much. . . actually I find it really creapy that she followed this grungy looking guy!

Her father's daughter

Here's my little poser. I swear, she gets it from her dad.

They love being outside, problem is . . . no one else does. It's so humid, but they don't ever seem to mind! The grass is like razor blades but it's green and they don't seem to care.

Ali got a new stroller and she loves it Cooper on the other hand Not so much. I don't know if you can see his face but he is on the verge of being done having a sister who plays house with him.
